    SMS Communication & Consent

This page explains how ASSIST by AiSo, LLC, doing business as "ASSIST," and affiliated appraisers may use SMS text messaging to coordinate real estate appraisal inspections, and how consent is collected or confirmed before SMS is used.

    How We Obtain Contact Information

When an appraisal order is created, the lender, appraisal management company, appraisal firm, client, borrower, real estate agent, or other authorized party may provide the property contact's phone number for the purpose of coordinating the appraisal inspection. SMS is used only when consent has been collected or confirmed for appraisal scheduling and access coordination.

    Why Messages Are Sent

We send SMS messages only for transactional purposes related to a specific appraisal order or appraiser account, such as:

    • Requesting to schedule an inspection
    • Confirming an inspection appointment
    • Sending scheduling reminders, rescheduling, or property access updates
    • Order updates, daily summaries, and system alerts for appraiser/staff accounts

    Consent

ASSIST uses SMS only after consent has been collected or confirmed for transactional appraisal-related communication.

    Appraisers and appraisal firm staff

Appraisers and appraisal firm staff may opt in inside their ASSIST account notification settings. Users can choose Email, SMS, or both. SMS notifications are optional and can be changed at any time.

    Example appraiser/staff consent language:

"By enabling SMS notifications, you agree to receive transactional text messages from ASSIST related to your appraisal workflow, including order updates, scheduling notifications, appointment updates, daily summaries, and system alerts. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out. Reply HELP for help. SMS consent is not shared with third parties for marketing or promotional purposes."

    Property contacts / POCs

Property contacts may receive SMS only when their phone number has been provided for the purpose of coordinating an appraisal inspection, appointment confirmation, rescheduling, or property access coordination.

When confirming property contact information, the following verbal consent script may be used:

"We need to coordinate the appraisal inspection for [property address]. May the assigned appraiser or their authorized scheduling system contact you at [phone number] by call or text message for appraisal scheduling, appointment confirmation, rescheduling, and property access updates? Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies based on scheduling activity. You can reply STOP to opt out of text messages or HELP for help."

If the recipient agrees, SMS may be used only for transactional appraisal-related scheduling and access coordination. If the recipient does not agree, SMS is not used.

    Message Frequency

Message frequency is low and typically limited to 1–3 messages per order, though additional messages may be sent if rescheduling or follow-up is needed.

    Opt-Out & Help

You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message.

For assistance, reply HELP or contact us directly.

    No Marketing

ASSIST does not use SMS for advertising, promotions, mass marketing, cold outreach, lead generation, or unrelated communications.
